How our pricing works

No fixed price list, because every system is scoped to the business. Here's the honest shape of it: a one-off build cost, optional support, and a clear figure up front.

Most custom systems are a one-off build cost rather than a monthly fee, and the price depends on what the system has to do. A focused tool or automation is the lowest-cost way in, a full custom platform is more, and you'll always get an honest figure up front, usually on the first call. There's no contract and no per-user fee.

We don't publish a fixed price list, because a single price for custom work either overcharges the small jobs or undersells the big ones. Pricing the actual job is fairer, and you'll never be kept guessing.

The shape of it

Two simple parts

The build

A one-off build cost

You pay for the system once, and own it outright.
  • Scoped to exactly what you need
  • A focused tool costs less than a full platform
  • You own the system, code and data
  • Documented and handed over in your name
  • No per-user fee, ever

After launch

Optional monthly support

Only if you want ongoing help. Many clients don't.
  • Changes and improvements as you grow
  • Hosting and upkeep handled
  • Priority help when you need it
  • No contract, cancel any time
  • Or take it and run, that's fine too
Ask about support

Prices are given openly and early, on the first call, once we know what the system needs to do.

What moves the price

Why one system costs more than another

  • What it has to doA single automation is a smaller job than a full system with many moving parts.
  • How many people use itMore users, roles and permissions add work.
  • IntegrationsJoining up other tools, accounting or your website adds to the build.
  • How custom it isThe more it's shaped exactly to you, the more there is to build.
  • Data to bring acrossMoving existing data in cleanly takes time.
  • Ongoing supportOptional, and only if you want changes and help after launch.
How we get to a figure

Quick, honest, no obligation

1

A free call

We talk through what you need and where the time goes. No cost, no pressure.

2

A clear proposal

What we'll build, what it does, and exactly what it costs. In plain English.

3

You decide

No contract, no chasing. You say yes only when the figure and the plan make sense.

Common questions

How much does a custom system cost?
It depends entirely on what the system has to do, so there's no fixed price list. A small, focused tool or automation is the lowest-cost way in; a full custom platform is more. You get an honest figure early, usually on the first call, once the scope is clear.
Is it a one-off cost or a monthly fee?
Usually a one-off build cost, so you pay for the system once and own it. Monthly only comes in if you choose ongoing support for changes and help, and even then there's no contract.
How does that compare to off-the-shelf software?
Off-the-shelf costs less to start but you pay per user, every month, forever. A custom build costs more up front but has no per-seat fee, so over a couple of years it often works out at less, especially as your team grows.
Why don't you publish fixed prices?
Because a fixed price for custom work either overcharges small jobs or undersells big ones. Pricing the actual job, openly and early, is fairer. You'll never be kept guessing or pushed for a decision before you have a clear figure.
What if I only have a small budget?
Tell me. We can often start with the one thing causing the most pain, get that working and earning its keep, then build from there. You don't have to do everything at once.
